Who we are

GoTo Communications (Pty) Ltd is a strategic communications, marketing and AI consultancy registered in South Africa and based in Bloemfontein, Free State. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services:

Enquiry details you submit through our forms: name, organisation, work email address, telephone number, sector and the content of your message.
Subscription details if you join our newsletter: your email address.
Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate site analytics.

We do not knowingly collect special personal information or the personal information of children.

Why we process it

To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you request.
To send you the communications you have subscribed to.
To protect this website against spam, abuse and fraudulent submissions.
To meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with operators who process it on our behalf under contract:

Cloudflare, for website hosting, security and bot verification.
Our email delivery provider, to route form submissions to our team.
Calendly, if you book a consultation through our booking link.
Professional advisers and regulators where we are legally required to disclose.

Some of these providers process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers who are subject to laws or binding agreements that offer protection substantially similar to POPIA.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for up to three years from your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required by law or by an ongoing engagement. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Security logs are kept for a short operational period.

How we protect it

This site is served over HTTPS with strict transport security. Form submissions are verified, rate limited and sanitised before delivery. Access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it to do their work.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct or delete it, object to processing, or lodge a complaint. Write to admin@gotocommunications.co.za. We respond within a reasonable period and at no charge for reasonable requests.

You may also complain directly to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local browser storage to remember your display preference and your cookie choice. Bot verification by Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived token. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though some features may then not work.

Changes

We update this policy as our services and obligations change. The date at the top reflects the current version.
